Parte del anual “Casa Atahualpa”, esta competencia contó con el acompañamiento de La Casa de Don Luis y tenía en juego distintos trofeos.
En lo deportivo, hay que decir que el frío se hizo sentir en la fauna íctica de nuestro lago, disminuyendo notoriamente el pique en los últimos días. Pocas extracciones y actividad importante de ejemplares muy chicos que eran casi imposibles de clavar con los anzuelos N° 3 que establecen los reglamentos de los clubes locales en el lago. En ese contexto, sobresaliente labor de los más experimentados de la pesca tandilense, quienes coparon los seis primeros lugares de la clasificación con nombres que nos rememoran a cualquier clasificador de hace 20 años.
Gran labor de Carlos Cabrera, regresando al triunfo tras once años de abstinencia en el lago, llevándose el triunfo por tiempo, ya que empataron en seis piezas con Daniel Durand, pero el popular “Carlitos” marcó primero. Emoción por el regreso al triunfo por partida doble, ya que también se quedó con la copa “Emilia e Isidoro Cabrera”, tradicional trofeo que se pone en juego cada año y recuerda a los padres de Carlos. Completó el podio, otro histórico, Rodolfo Girelli, dejando en las puertas del podio a Enrique Martínez, Mariano Sosa y Carlos Cattaneo, una trilogía de experimentados que pescaron muy bien el fin de semana.
En cadetes, Santiago Bustos, el hijo del reciente quíntuple campeón mundial de longcasting, Salvador, se quedó con la copa cadete por segunda fecha consecutiva, mientras que la Challenger que se hizo en honor a Enrique Martínez, se la quedó por un año el propio pescador, por suma de puntos de las últimas dos fechas.
