El Mundial 2025 de Longcasting será en Argentina

La 27° edición del Campeonato del Mundo de Longcasting será en Argentina. Por primera vez, nuestro país recibirá a la elite de la actividad en un evento que se anuncia para 2025.

Durante mucho tiempo, los viajes de los deportistas argentinos a participar de los Mundiales de Longcasting estuvieron signados por la falta de apoyo de las distintas entidades del país relacionadas con la pesca. Aquellas incursiones que realizaban un puñado de tiradores eran poco visibilizadas por los medios y fruto de un notable esfuerzo de cada equipo que nos representó de la mejor manera. Hoy, todo cambio. Las nuevas dirigencias mostraron otras intenciones, y aún en un contexto económico muy complicado, demostraron estar a la altura de los acontecimientos, acompañando a un conjunto nacional que se ha convertido en potencia y es la referencia de todos sus rivales en lo deportivo.
Tras haber acompañado en eventos a nivel sudamericano, la Confederación Argentina de Pesca y Lanzamiento, con una gestión que comenzó hace poco tiempo el misionero Víctor Bonifato, estuvo junto al equipo argentino en Paraguay, en el reciente Mundial donde se coronó campeón del mundo por selecciones y ahora encabezó las gestiones para tener, por primera vez, la cita mundialista en nuestro país. Primero, se trabajó con CAPYL la sede a postular, siendo elegida Posadas, en la Provincia de Misiones, y luego se decidió asistir a la Asamblea Anual de la Confederación Internacional de Pesca Sportiva y de Mar (FIPS-MER), reunión que se realizó en el estadio Olímpico de Roma sobre el cierre de la pasada semana. Allí, se presentó formalmente la candidatura y la solicitud de la capital misionera para quedarse con la sede, con los avales correspondientes, pedido que fue aceptado y que permite a Argentina ser sede de un evento de este tipo por primera vez. Recordemos que, en 2022, volvió el Mundial a Sudamérica, tras muchos años, en Paraguay. Este año, la cita mundialista va a realizarse en mayo en África, específicamente en Túnez, mientras que en la próxima temporada volverán a Europa, a Italia.

«Representé a los países de habla hispana y tenía que estar presente en la asamblea, para poder pedir la sede. Volvemos con la designación y ya ponernos a trabajar para el evento», comentó Bonifato respecto del congreso en Italia.
Sin dudas, este hecho marcará un antes y un después en el país, ya que puede ser el punto de partida para que Argentina participe de los distintos mundiales de pesca, algo que no se ha realizado en nuestra historia. Merecido premio para el longcasting nacional y sus tiradores que vienen trabajando desde hace mucho tiempo para este reconocimiento. Desde los históricos que pusieron en pie la actividad en el país y empezaron a lograr grandes resultados, como los Solimeno, Anaya, Montania, Wagner, pasando por los Bustos y llegando a los más jóvenes que hoy siguen poniendo al país en lo más alto.
El próximo mundial:
Argentina estará compitiendo este mes en el Mundial de Túnez con dos equipos, tras un clasificatorio que los ordeno en A y B. El tetracampeón mundial, Salvador Bustos será uno de los estandartes del conjunto nacional, junto a Juan Hamber, el marplatense que está en un gran momento y que viene de dos títulos por equipos, en Italia y Paraguay. Además, el ascendente crédito de Otamendi, Joaquín Quiroga y Guillermo Ciappina, serán parte del A, mientras que Facundo Sosa, Nazareno Cajal, Nazareno Serén y Juan Lang participarán en el team B. La actividad deportiva en Túnez se extenderá desde el lunes 22 con 175 gramos, lanzando un plomo por día, en lo que será el 25° Campeonato del Mundo.
