Historias de «Las 24»: Picó antes del temporal

El concurso de 2009 fue uno de los más recordados en los últimos años por el clima, ya que al caer la tarde, un temporal mandó a más de uno a su casa.

Aquel año, el tresarroyense Mario Cirone, afincado por entonces en Bahía Blanca, se quedó con la 48ª edición con una dorada de 3,224 kilogramos. Picó poco menos de una hora antes de que empiece el temporal y se aleje la pesca de la castigada costa.

Hubo 2516 participantes, toda una fiesta a orillas del océano, pero el mal clima generó un caos que pocos quedaron pescando. El mar pasó de estar planchado a llenarse de «corderitos». Y la arena que casi no volaba, dio pasó a comedores enteros que volaban por los aires.
El podio lo completaron Marcelo Calvete de De la Garma, con una corvina dorada de 3,047 kg, y el olavarriense Sergio Giacomasso con un ejemplar de 3,016 kg.
