La ilusión argentina del longcasting a Italia

Desde el lunes comenzará la actividad en el 26° Campeonato del Mundo en Italia, sede una vez más de la competencia que reúne a los mejores casters del mundo. Dos tandilenses serán parte de este evento.

Los mejores tiradores argentinos ultiman detalles para la participación de un nuevo Campeonato Mundial de Longcasting, competencia que tendrá lugar en Italia, del 6 al 13 de abril. La cita es específicamente en Viterbo, localidad donde se desarrollará la 26° edición de este encuentro mundialista que arrancó en 1998 en los Estados Unidos y que se viene realizando en forma ininterrumpida, salvo por la Pandemia, que no permitió la competencia en 2020.

Tras la llegada de las delegaciones el sábado 6, al día siguiente será la ceremonia de apertura, mientras que en la mañana del lunes 8 arrancará la competencia con 175 gramos, tirando un plomo por día, para finalizar el viernes con la ceremonia de cierre.

La expectativa es importante en los tiradores argentinos, ya que sería el primer mundial sin el multi campeón Salvador Bustos dentro del equipo principal. El tandilense había anunciado su retiro a fin de la pasada temporada, aunque decidió a último momento ser parte de la delegación y acompañar a los conjuntos de nuestro país. Además de tirar en forma libre, será capitán y aportará su experiencia para poder defender el título por equipos. Bustos es el actual monarca y ya sabe lo que es ganar un mundial en tierras italianas, ya que ganó allí su segundo campeonato, en 2018. El equipo A de Argentina tendrá al marplatense Juan Hamber como máximo exponente, tirador que dominó el país con Bustos en el último tiempo y que sabe lo que es estar arriba en un Mundial. Son parte del equipo principal Joaquín Quiroga de Nicanor Otamendi, revelación en la zona centro que se metió entre los tres mejores del país hace muy poco, también Juan Lang de Coronel Suarez y otro serrano, el de Tandil con raíces en Napaleofú, Nazareno Seren, quien tiene la oportunidad de estar en el equipo que es gran candidato. Por el lado del equipo B de Argentina, los representantes serán los ascendentes Roque Ramos, Dylan Alais, Maximiliano Pizzolato y Maximiliano Llanos. Estos 8 tiradores, junto a Bustos que tira libre, serán los representantes de Argentina en el mundial de Italia.

Si hablamos de récords, el tandilense Bustos tiene el récord en 175 gramos, con 267,45 metros, una marca que batió en 2021 en el Mundial de Italia. El italiano Filippo Montepagano. es la vara más calta con 150 y 125 gramos, con 281,19 y 280,69 m, ambas cifras imbatibles desde Sudáfrica 2019. Por último, el tetracampeón Bustos tiene la mayor marca en 100 gramos, con 269,68 metros, también en Sudáfrica. Italia es el máximo campeón entre los países participantes, con 8 títulos, seguido por Inglaterra con seis, Argentina tiene cinco y Francia, cuatro.

En forma individual, el más grande de la historia, Danny Moeskops, el belga, tiene once coronas, escoltado por el argentino Bustos con 5 y el italiano Alessio Massa, quien tiene tres. Marcelo Wagner es el otro argentino campeón, tras aquel campeonato ganado en 2016 y que tendría como subcampeón a Bustos, quien, en el último mundial de Túnez, ganó los cuatro plomos en juego, algo que ya había logrado en Francia 2017.

Para esta edición, la 26° que organiza la FIPS-M, ente que regula la pesca en el mundo, participarán 29 tiradores que representarán a Brasil, Italia, Francia, Uruguay, Chile y Argentina. En relación a la edición 2023, realizada en Túnez, no serán parte del mundial Bélgica, España y el conjunto sudafricano.
