Sebastián Marquez, el grandote del kayak

Llega la décima entrevista virtual de este Planeta Pesca, y esta semana nos metemos con un amigo de la casa, un referente en lo que hace a administrar un sitio y llevarlo adelante de una manera sensacional; y por sobre todas las cosas, una gran persona, estamos hablando de Carlos Sebastian Marquez, administrador del colega MDQ-Team y uno de los hacedores de este gran momento que vive el Kayak Fishing en la Argentina. Una jugosa charla con otro personaje de la pesca.

  • Cuentanos algo de vos..?? Cuando comenzaste a pescar..?? Como nació tu amor por la Pesca..??

Soy un firme convencido que pescador se nace, te cuento una anécdota que ya la comente en otro lado… Cuando cumplí 5 años mi abuela me regaló un combo de pesca, era una cañita de fibra maciza, un reel Shakespeare, y una cajita redonda donde al girar la tapa podias elegir las cosas a sacar de compartimientos internos, la cajita era amarilla con una tapa transparente, aún hoy, 34 años después, lo recuerdo como si fuera hoy..!!
La cuestión es que en mi casa nadie pescaba, pero mi abuela es de esas mujeres que se le ponía algo en la cabeza que a ella le gustaba y me lo regalaba, así me regaló también una guitarra que nunca toqué, pero ella quería que fuese músico, aunque pensándolo bien le cumplí uno de los sueños y soy pescador…
En fin, como en casa nadie pescaba, la caña se guardó durante mucho tiempo, en mi niñez nos mudamos muchas veces y en cada mudanza la caña, el reel y la cajita aparecían, yo la armaba, ponía una boyita y hacía que pescaba, es más, aprendí solo a tirar en el patio o en el potrero, pero nunca fui a pescar. Con el tiempo me mudé a Necochea y se ve que la caña apareció nuevamente, como ya tenía 12 años empecé a embromar en casa con que quería ir a pescar, ahí mi viejo me contó que de joven el solía pescar, pero un día vendió todo y no pescó mas… vaya a saber porque. La cosa es que un día por la tarde mi viejo me dijo “acompañame a un lugar”, subimos a la camioneta y nos fuimos para el puerto, paramos en una casa de pesca y me pidio que baje, eligió una caña de última generación… tacuara con un Calador 450, cargado hasta los bordes con nylon del 50 (en esa época se pescaba así, había peces y no era necesario tirar 200 metros), pidió 2 lineas con anzuelos “Garra de Aguila” para corvina, y tambien pidió que corten unas anchoas y las pongan en una bolsa. Con todo un poco improvisado, salimos para la escollera, tiro primero mi papa y enseguida sacó una corvina, luego volvió a tirar y me dio la caña. Al fin me sentía pescando, lo que tanto me imaginé se cumplía, y por eso digo que yo era pescador desde que nací, no desde que empecé a pescar, en fin, la cosa es que saqué un gatuzo y luego una corvina. Desde ese día nunca mas pude dejar de pescar, en cuanto charco con agua haya siempre pesco, pero el mar me puede, los horizontes libres sin nada que interrumpa, pescar en el mar sigue siendo mi felicidad.

  • ¿Como nace MDQ-Team? ¿Que sentis al verlo caminar con tanto exito?

El MDQ-Team nacio el 16 de agosto del 2007, un dia que estabamos en la Arenera del faro con guillermo Bocanfuso, le dije que desde hacia rato tenia ganas de hacer un foro para nosotros, te cuento que el MDQ-Team salio por un desafio de pesca de corvinas negras que armamos en el foro de travesia de pesca, era un equipo de bs as contra nosotros un grupo que nos juntabamos a pescar en Mar del Plata, lo mas divertido es que con el tiempo el grupo contrario jajaja son ahora todos del mdq-team. En fin, le dije que tenia ganas de hacer un foro pero no me animaba, mis palabras fueron total nos van a leer unos 10 o 12… Guille me dijo yo te banco, yo voy a leer (como veras me equivoque por poco…) y bue lllegue a casa y lo arme en 2 dias… Tambien siempre dije que esto fue por rata, era para comunicarnos sin gastar en telefono jajaja.
Ahora que el foro anda casi solo lo veo como algo que nos excede, da mucha satisfaccion ver que nos conocen en lugares lejanos, a veces en la playa cuando llego de pescar alguno me dice que hay un foro de pesca de Mar del plata si lo conocemos jajajaja, hoy el MDQ-Team es un adolescente que esta aprendiendo a manejarse solo.

  • ¿Como nace el amor por el kayak fishing?

El foro es anterior al kayak fishing, sin embargo siento que el kayak fishing crecio con nosotros, cuando comenzamos eramos 4, Hector, Guille, Paco Garcia, yo y conocia a alguno mas, Diego de BS As, en fin la cuestion es que despues de verlo a Paco pescar me dije quiero probar eso, nunca habia remado en mi vida, sin embargo me compre un kayak y probé, la primer amiga que hice en el kayak fishing fue Moni la esposa de Hector, la conoci en la playa y me dijo que espere que el marido estaba pescando adentro, cuando salio de pescar me acerque a preguntarle algo, el negro que hoy es un hermano para mi llego y con su carisma de siempre no me dio ni bola jajajaj, siempre serio el negro…. la cosa es que me dijo que entraban a pescar todos los dias a las 8 de la mañana… al dia siguiente me fui a buscarlos pero no estaba, entre solo y saque 12 corvinas en una hora, era un sueño, cuando sali estaban entrando Hector y Diego, los salude y segui de largo, al dia siguiente volvi y me cai del kayak a 400 metros de la costa me asuste, no habia practicdo nada, la cosa que durante 5 o 6 dias no me animaba a entrar, inventaba que habia leva, viento… lo que pasaba era que no me animaba a entradr al mar, un dia mientras estaba en la playa mirando el mar, llega Hector y me dice ¿no pescas? le conte lo que me habia pasado y me dijo: mira si esperas que el mar este lindo vas a entrar 3 veces en todo el verano, anda a buscar el kayak que te espero… desde ese dia no deje nunca de pescar y como dije el negro pasó a ser un hermano de la vida.

  • Pensando a futuro, como ves la pesca deportiva en un par de años..??

La pesca deportiva se va especializando cada dia noto un crecimiento en la actividad y los pescadoires de costa necesitan mejorar mucho para alcanzar el pescado. Igualmente pese a todo la pesca deportiva es una actividad en crecimiento

  • Que es hoy Internet para el pescador..??

Internet es una herramienta mas, a medida que descreemos mas de algunas revistas encontramos en los foros opiniones verdaderas, sin intereses que nos sirven para planificar la proxima pesca, permite conocer el lugar antes de ir y compartir experiencias

  • Por que pescar y devolver..??

En mi caso no me gusta el pescado, como muy poco y realmente no soy de regalar pescado, siempre noto que la gente quiere que le regales el pescado ya fileteadito y eso no me va, entonces cuando guardo algo, poco es para comerlo o se lo llevo a mi cuñado, si no lo como lo devuelvo, prefiero que el pez siga su vida si no lo aprovecho, aun asi no soy un defensor a ultranza de la devolucion, prefiero si respetar loq ue dice el reglamente de pesca deportiva, me parece mas honesto, como decia mas que en la pesca con devolucion creo en la pesca con degustacion, ahora si no lo comes no lo mates.

  • Una anécdota entre tantas que quieras compartir..??

Un dia estabamos pescando con Hector y Guille en Mar Chiquita, en eso vemos que el pelado levanta fondeo y sale remando a las chapas para la orilla, la playa estaba llena de gente pero igual vemos que llega a la orilla, se saca el traje de neopren y se agacha, despues de un rato se lo sube y regresa remando…. aparentemente estaba descompuesto y no aguanto, la cosa es que en la playa todos se desmayaban de la risa…
