Este jueves nos dejó, otro referente de la pesca deportiva de Tandil. Se trata de José María Charlone, un emblema de la actividad, estandarte del club Defensores de Belgrano y del Club de Pesca Tandil entre otras instituciones de la ciudad. Fue parte de una mítica barra pesquera que recorrió toda la provincia pescando, «Los Carapintadas», aquel grupo del que eran parte José, Blas Santisteban, Alfredo Mouhape y Ramón Torrecillas, entre otros.

Recuerdo la emoción de José, cuando se volvió a reabrir el viejo Club de Pesca, aquel club donde forjó mil y un historias. Se me vienen a la memoria compartir largas charlas en la Carnicería de «Carlitos» y en «Las Praderas», donde en lo personal me daba el gusto de conocer historias y anécdotas de pescadores. Lo recuerdo desde la loma de Fugl, mirando los torneos del Tandil Pesca Club y prometiéndome volver a pescar. Se fue un referente, un pescador excelente y un gran ser humano. Me quedo con la idea de que ya está allá arriba, preparando los bártulos con los amigos que lo esperaban en la vieja estanciera, ya listos para salir a pescar estrellas en ese mar de nubes.
